Application area
The Trita® Human Identifier kit is designed to determine the kinship relationships among individuals and determine human identity in the context of forensic medicine. It is also applied to research activities in the field of molecular biology. The underlying foundation of this kit lies in the Multiplex fluorescent PCR molecular method, which enables the simultaneous examination of 16 genetic markers in the genome (DNA) obtained from various human biological samples such as blood, hair, nails, and bones. It is important to note that this particular product is not suitable for diagnostic, preventive or therapeutic measures.
product performance principle
The Trita® Human Identifier Kit developed by TritaGene is designed to identify human identity in forensic medicine, establish kinship relationships, and determine the genetic patterns of individuals. This particular kit consists of 16 Short Tandem Repeat (STR) polymorphic genetic markers, which include all 13 STR markers approved by CODIS, one STR marker endorsed by the European Union (ENFSI), the SE-33 marker and the Amelogenin sex determination marker. These markers are detected and amplified through a multiplex fluorescent PCR reaction.
The utilization of polymorphic STR markers holds considerable significance in human identification and proves to be effective in genotyping minute quantities of DNA samples. The SE-33 marker boasts a remarkably high heterozygosity, the inclusion of which enhances the accuracy and reliability of the kit’s results. Furthermore, the implementation of a five-dye fluorescent system technology enables the efficient separation of genetic markers, thereby providing comprehensive outcomes in a brief timeframe. The identification process using this product involves the following procedural steps:
- DNA extraction from human biological samples (blood, hair, nails or other human biological samples)
- Amplification of desired gene markers by Multiplex fluorescent PCR method (using Trita® Human Identifier kit)
- Identification of amplicons by capillary electrophoresis method using genetic analyzer device
- Analyzing and interpreting the results using the GeneMarker® or GeneMapper® software
It is worth noting that the fluorescent colors employed in this particular product are shown in the subsequent table.
